Sébastien Agius Yacht Consultant

Crewed yacht charter on the French Riviera and in Monaco.

I select the yacht and the crew that suit your plans, walk you through the contract line by line, and stay reachable throughout the cruise.

Two yachts of the same size can deliver two very different cruises. The crew, the chef, the condition of the boat and the water toys make the difference, and none of that shows in a photograph. I know the boats and I talk to the captains.

You give me your dates, the number of guests, your wishes and your budget. I come back with a short, comparable selection: price, costs to expect, strengths and reservations.

A day between Monaco and Saint-Tropez, a week in Corsica and Sardinia, a yacht alongside for the Monaco Grand Prix or the Cannes Film Festival: the contractual framework is the same and I handle all of it.

What I take care of for your charter

Tailored selection

Yachts chosen for your plans, with a candid opinion on each. Not a catalogue of two hundred boats.

Full budget

Charter fee, APA, VAT, any delivery fees: you know the total cost before you sign.

MYBA contract

The industry reference contract. I explain it clause by clause, from cancellation terms to insurance.

Itinerary

Built with the captain around the weather and your wishes: anchorages, ports of call, tables to book.

Preferences on board

Menus, wines, activities, special touches. The crew receives your preferences before you embark.

Support during the cruise

I remain your contact from the first day to disembarkation, in direct touch with the captain.

Frequently asked questions about yacht charter

What is the APA?

The APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is a provision paid before embarkation, on top of the charter fee. The captain uses it to pay for fuel, food, drinks and port fees. Accounts are kept throughout the cruise; any unspent amount is refunded when you disembark, and a top-up may be requested if the provision is exceeded.

What does the charter fee include?

The yacht, her crew and her insurance. Cruise expenses go through the APA, VAT is added according to the country of embarkation, and the crew gratuity is at your discretion: custom is between 5 and 15% of the charter fee.

When should I book?

For July and August, and for major events such as the Monaco Grand Prix or the Cannes Film Festival, the best yachts are taken several months ahead. Out of season, there is more choice and more flexibility.

How many guests can come on board?

Most charter yachts are limited to 12 guests under way, whatever their size. It is a safety rule tied to their category. Alongside, for a reception, capacity may be higher depending on the yacht.

Can I charter a yacht for a day?

Yes. Day charters are common on the French Riviera, departing from Monaco, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Nice, Antibes, Cannes or Saint-Tropez.
